Award-winning radio personality and DJ Chris Nell has surely made a name for himself in broadcasting. From novice to household name with his radio shows on Bosveld 107.5 FM, he continues his journey with more shows coming this April.
Fans will be delighted to know that starting early next month, Chris will now be hosting Bi-weekly editions of Laat Aand Klanke on Bosveld Stereo 107.5 FM, starting Tuesdays and Thursdays from 22:00 – 01:00, taking over from Johann Scheepers who will be leaving at the end of March. Saturday nights Laat Aand Klanke will commence from 21:00 – 01:00 and audiences can enjoy Chris’ brand new radio program Sondagoggend from 09:00 – 13:00. He will return for another edition of Laat Aand Klanke Sunday Nights from 21:00 – 01:00.
Nell is a both consummate professional and a rebel DJ, a rarity given both his age, as well as the pedigree of his career, but with his intimate knowledge of music, his raconteur streak and the mellifluous tones of his suave tenor voice, he continues to pile up a prolific resume of radio experience and his shows being syndicated all over the Gauteng province and even all over the world.
It is these characteristics that made him the recipient of the Top Achiever Award, when he graduated from Boston Media House in Sandton, the institution’s highest honor. What makes Nell’s prowess unique is his remarkable wit, his skill at being a conversationalist and the element of surprise, hallmarks of radio greats of old. Think of broadcasters the likes of John Berks, Barney Simon, Chris Prior,Alex Jay and even Casey Kasem to name a few.
For Chris, entertaining is in his blood . . . . and here is in this industry to stay.
